PITTSBURGH -- North Allegheny made a major statement in Friday's AHN Friday Night Rivals powered by IGS Energy matchup broadcast live on 22 the Point, beating Seneca Valley 40-7 on the road to remain the only undefeated team in the WPIAL's Class 6A.

The Tigers wasted no time in avenging last season's WPIAL semifinal loss to Seneca Valley, grabbing an early lead and never letting up.

Running back Percise Colon started the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown run that set the tone in the first quarter.

Led by quarterback Ben Petschke, North Allegheny continued to light up the scoreboard, as the senior ran for a 45-yard touchdown and then threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to senior Luke Colella to take a 21-0 lead that turned into 31-0 by halftime.

"In the hearts and minds of the seniors and juniors that were part of it last year, there was something still there for them, but we also understand the bigger picture, the games ahead of us," North Allegheny Head Coach Art Walker Jr. said during the postgame trophy presentation.

"I'm just proud of how we played offensively, defensively and on special teams. They had a great work week and it showed on the field tonight."

The loss drops Seneca Valley to 2-4 on the season.

North Allegheny will be featured on the AHN Friday Night Rivals powered by IGS Energy Week 9 matchup, facing Pine-Richland on Oct. 25.
