PITTSBURGH -- Top-ranked and unbeaten Aliquippa once again showed off its big-play capability in a 55-7 win at Keystone Oaks in Friday's Week 8 AHN Friday Night Rivals powered by IGS Energy matchup broadcast live on 22 the Point.

"We accomplished what we had to accomplish tonight," Aliquippa Head Coach Mike Warfield said during the postgame trophy presentation.

"We have to get better, the kids understand that. I'm proud of the kids. We struggled a little bit at the beginning but we picked it up in the second half."

Three signature plays highlighted the Quips' ability to shift the momentum of the game in rapid fashion.

Vernon Redd returned two punt returns for touchdowns in the first half, outrunning the coverage to the wide side of the field. Both returns went for over 70 yards.

Aliquippa's defense - the much-talked about unit entering the contest surrendering less than a touchdown per game - got a splash play from senior linebacker and Penn State commit Zuriah Fisher.

Fisher cut off a Logan Shrubb pass for an interception and returned it for a touchdown, showcasing the combination of size and speed that has attracted a lot of attention from major Division I programs.

Shrubb put Keystone Oaks on the board late in the first quarter, finding an open Tyler Hrivnak for a touchdown that cut the lead to 14-7.

The Quips improved to 9-0 on the season, while the Golden Eagles fell to 5-4.
